In this particular WordPress video tutorial we are going to cover how embed video in WordPress. Specifically, we are going to cover how to embed YouTube video in WordPress.
Let’s go to our example site FitnessExaminer.com. What you want to do on your site is to login to your WordPress admin dashboard. Then you want to go to posts. If adding a new post you click on “Add New” In our example we are going to edit an existing post to include a relevant YouTube video.
Next we are going to search for a video to go with this particular post. So we head on over to YouTube.com to find a video to use. In the search area we type in the type of video we are looking for. Then you click on the video that you want to embed to display the video. Once you click on “Share” and then click on “Embed” to reveal the code you need to copy and paste into your WordPress post.
Here is a another tip for you:
You can also change the dimensions and create custom size so say for instance you want a custom size you want to be 580px wide. The aspect ratio stays the same and the hight is automatically adjusted for you. The new dimensions as also automatically created in the embed code for you.
From there you simply copy and past the the embed code into your WordPress post and publish your post. That’s it. You have just embedding a YouTube video into WordPress.
